Michael’s path to the courtroom was defined by hard work, discipline, and service to his country. Before beginning his legal career, Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force, an experience that instilled in him the core values of integrity, precision, and duty that continue to govern his practice today.

While stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska, Michael pursued his undergraduate education, earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Peru State College. Working tirelessly as an "average Joe" to support his growing family, Michael later recognized a calling to shift his career path toward the law—specifically to serve families in need of structured, compassionate advocacy.

In the Fall of 1999, Michael enrolled in law school at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, attending evening classes while continuing to meet his work and family responsibilities. From his very first semester, Michael deliberately selected coursework, clinicals, and curricular electives tailored to family law. He earned his Juris Doctor in December 2003 and officially launched his Florida family law practice in July 2004.

Throughout his over 20-year career, Michael has also served as a Professor, sharing his legal knowledge, courtroom methodology, and ethical standards with the next generation of professionals.
